Θέμα: Πραγματοποίηση της ετήσιας εθελοντικής αιμοδοσίας στην Κοινότητα Πισσουρίου
Πραγματοποιήθηκε σήμερα το απόγευμα η 13η εθελοντική αιμοδοσία στο Κοινοτικό Ιατρείο, που οργάνωσαν από κοινού το Κοινοτικό Συμβούλιο Πισσουρίου, η Τοπική Τράπεζα αίματος και η Τράπεζα αίματος της Πάφου. Η αιμοδοσία έλαβε χώρα μεταξύ των ωρών 15:00-19:00.
Ένας ικανοποιητικός αριθμός αυτών ανταποκρίθηκαν πρόθυμα στο κάλεσμα προσφοράς αίματος, δίνοντας ένα μήνυμα ζωής, αγάπης και αλληλεγγύης προς τους συνανθρώπους μας. Η ευαισθητοποίηση της τοπικής κοινωνίας είχε ως αποτέλεσμα στην συλλογή 47 φιαλών αίματος που, αναμφίβολα, θα ενισχύσουν τα αποθέματα της τοπικής τράπεζας.
Ο Πρόεδρος της Κοινότητας, κύριος Χριστάκης Αριστείδου Φουτάς , ευχαρίστησε θερμά όλους τους πολίτες που έσπευσαν αμέσως στο κάλεσμα της σημερινής αλτρουιστικής εκδήλωσης και τόνισε μεταξύ άλλων ότι: «καυχόμαστε για την λειτουργία μιας τέτοιας εθελοντικής μονάδας στην κοινότητα και προς τούτο ευχαριστούμε θερμά τον Πρόεδρο και τα μέλη της Τοπικής Επιτροπής Αιμοδοσίας και το ιατρικό και νοσηλευτικό προσωπικό του Νοσοκομείου Πάφου, που στέκονται αρωγοί στην προσπάθεια του Κοινοτικού Συμβουλίου ».

Subject: Conduct of the annual blood donation event at Pissouri Community
Pissouri Council, with the collaboration of the Local Blood Committee and Paphos Blood Bank, have organised the 13th Blood Donation event. The occasion held today at the Communal Medical Centre between 15:00-19:00 hours.
A satisfactory number of our citizens responded willingly to the call for donating blood, giving a message of life, love and solidarity to all our fellow beings. Consciousness of the local community has resulted in collecting of 47 bottles of blood which, undoubtedly, will strengthen the reserves of the local bank.
The President of the Community, Mr. Christakis Aristidou Foutas, thanked everyone who responded to the call of today's altruistic event and stressed the fact that the whole Community feels very proud for the operation of such a volunteer unit. As for this, he expressed his sincere thanks to the Leader and Members of the Local Blood Donation Committee and Medical and Nursing Staff of Paphos Hospital, for backing up the efforts of the Community Council.

Annual Blood Donation
at Pissouri Community
Pissouri Community Council in close cooperation with the Local Blood Committee are scheduling the Annual Blood Donation at the Communal Medical Centre (Adjacent to Saint Andreas Church) on Sunday , the 25/10/2009. Blood Donation will start at 15:00 and will end up at 19:00 of the same day.
Our goals are to maintain the current blood donors and of course to enrol new ones, reinforce the blood-donation institution in our community, keep the blood reserves in satisfactory levels and ensure that our bank is capable to cover the needs in blood in urgent cases.
