We are extremely lucky with our Village waste disposal team: The dump itself may be an environmental disaster for the community (which is scheduled for re-siting), but complaints about rubbish collection are rare.

To all the householders of Pissouri Community
Dear Resident,
Subject: Cleanliness of our Community
There have been repeated complaints that some residents, instead of placing their domestic rubbish into the big green bins, are placing it in public streets, pavements and neighbouring pieces of land. As a result, cats and dogs tear the rubbish into pieces causing a danger to public health and providing at the same time a bad image for the Community. In addition to this, some people are putting their domestic rubbish in the green bins, but not in plastic bags, dirtying the bins and producing bad smells which in turn have known adverse consequences for our health.
The Council’s aim is to prevent and eliminate any harmful impact on residents’ health by infectious diseases and we can achieve this with collective efforts. The Community’s cleanliness is an essential issue which concerns everybody, thus a common effort will achieve tidiness and neatness in our Community.
The Council will show nil tolerance for the violators.

Subject: Rubbish Collection
Recent’s days temperature “explosion” is deemed a critical factor which fosters the emergence of the infectious diseases, deriving either from solids or liquids rubbish. Remnants of meal, domestic organic products exposure and other related items may produce a variety of unwilling and harmful diseases on human’s health.
Our concern is distinct and deep; if all residents contribute with the rational way of rubbish disposal, any kind of diseases coming from unconscious waste disposal can be averted;
As a consequence, you are requested to apply the following steps;
Put all domestic rubbish into the plastic bags and then place them into the big green bins. This effective method of packaging makes bags safer and inviolate from animals and rodents.
Place all plastic bags into the bins not earlier than evening. You will facilitate our service in collecting Community’s rubbish faster and earlier.
It has to be pointed out that Council’s mission is to prevent and eliminate any unwilling and harmful impacts against residents’ health generating by infectious diseases. This can be achieved by your contribution and assistance as well. The Community’s cleanliness is an essential issue which concerns everybody, thus a common attempt will set up tidiness and decency in our Community.
