Does the Co-op support debit and credit cards?
Yes, it does.

I have a Co-op debit / credit card.   Am I charged extra if I use them?
When the Co-op debit card is used with any ATM machines or other machines for shopping there is absolutely no extra charge. The daily maximum amount which can be withdrawn using an ATM is €700 whereas if used for shopping it is €3500.

When the Co-op visa card is used with any ATM machines or other machines for shopping there is a 3.33% fee charge with a minimum of 3 Euros every time it is used.  The daily maximum amount which can be withdrawn from an ATM is €700 whereas if it is used for shopping it is €3500.

*(Maximum amounts mentioned vary according to the card’s category and withdrawal  limits).

I want to keep a Co-op cheque book.  How is this done?
You simply apply to the Co-op.  It costs €20 for every book.

Are there charges for Standing Orders?
No.

I want to mortgage my property, how much can I raise?
You can mortgage your property on values assessed by our independent Valuers.  The valuation is paid for by the applicant and the Co-op lends about 50-60% of the property valuation with a maximum of €200,000 per person per application.   No guarantors are needed when a property is mortgaged.

How can I become a member of the Co-op?
If someone is granted a loan, then he is automatically a member of the Co-op.   You can become a member even without having to get a loan by simply applying, which costs €35.    The Pissouri Co-op numbers more than two thousand (2000) members at the time being.

How many times does the Co-op conduct  recapitalisation?
The Co-op recapitalises the loan accounts only once a year in comparison with other banks that might do it even up to four times.

What utility bills can I pay using the Co-op and at what cost?
You can easily have your bills paid for FREE through the Co-op for these  utilities:

1. Cyprus Electricity Authority
2. Cyprus Telecommunication Authority
3. Subscription based TV channels (Nova, LTV etc)
4. Vehicle Circulation Licences
5. Local Community Taxes (water, refuse collection, immovable property tax etc)
