Dr. Constantinos is the current State doctor for Pissouri. He comes here every Thursday from 8.30 am to the Village Surgery, at present located immediately below Apostolos Andreas Church on Ap. Andreas Street. The timetable for normal surgeries is given above.
However, for emergencies you should telephone Dr Constantinos to inform him about the problem and then go to whichever Surgery he is attending on that day.
Dr. Constantinos is on call for emergencies 24 hours a day, except for two days off per month.
In the case of extreme emergencies only (where the patient cannot be moved) he will make a house call. Dr Constantinou’s advice is to call him first, and while waiting for the doctor you should call Limassol General Hospital for an ambulance.
For other emergencies, you can go to Avdimou Health Centre for emergency first aid, but for further treatment you should expect to go on to the Limassol General Hospital. If necessary the Health Centre will call an ambulance. Or you can go to Paphos General Hospital, which is less likely to be as busy as Limassol.
If for any reason you fail to reach Government services, or if you prefer to go privately, there is another doctor resident in Avdimou. Dr. Nicoletta Mouzourou was for 20 years the State doctor in Pissouri and knows the Village well. She retired in 2007 and now lives and practises in and around Avdimou. Her house/surgery is just past John Pieroua’s Veterinary surgery in Avdimou on the left and there is a sign – near the church. Dr Nicoletta is available at any time, 7 days a week, but for private patients only. She is happy to respond to emergency calls. Her phone numbers are: 25 221445 or 99 551850.
