There are a few drawbacks for genuine naturists. One is the gawpers who like to view the beach from cliff-top edge above.
The second is rather more problematic: nudism is illegal in Cyprus. However, this beach is isolated and inaccessible except to those who are determined to go there.
Until the authorities deal with the determined colony of regular exhibitionists who have spoilt the eastern end of Pissouri Beach for families and tourists for many years, it is hard to think that there is any reason for them to turn their attention to the nudist beach.
There are tales of Police helicopters swooping down on nudists along this stretch of coastline. It might be a good idea to have swimming trunks to hand if you hear a helicopter coming!!
Naturism is a internationally accepted pastime, and should not only be so in Cyprus, but it should, in locations like this, be a genuine tourist attraction for the international market, especially if we have a marina just to the west of this beach.
