FILING YOUR TAX RETURN ONLINE
A very useful reason for getting your id card is that you can file your tax return on line and reduce the worry that it may 'get lost in the post'. Below are the guidance notes issued by the IR. Like the UK you are issued with a password and pin and hey away you go. But leaving registering until April is probably not recommended.
Interested taxpayers should fill in, sign and submit IN PERSON to the Inland Revenue Department an Application to Register in the TAXISnet system (Form I. R. D 66 2004, with a photocopy of their identity card attached (both sides). When submitting the application form applicants must display their identity card.
Applications should be handed in to the District Management of Returns Sections or the TAXISnet office which is at the following address: Lordos Building 3rd FloorCorner of Vyzantiou, Aipeias and Argyrokastrou Street Strovolos 1472, Nicosia. The electronic registration form is accessible via the Internet at the following addresses: http://taxisnet.mof.gov.cy http://www.mof.gov.cy
The information to be included with the application form:
1. The taxpayer's identification code.
2. Full name
3. Postal address
4. At least one telephone number (home, work or mobile)
5. Email address
6. Choice of income Tax Return Form
