PRIVATE LABORATORIES
There is a wide range of private diagnostic centres which you can just go to, with or without a doctor's letter, without an appointment, including x-ray laboratories. This is an excellent service and if necessary you can get the results of your tests very quickly.
You are not supposed to use private laboratories if you are under the care of a state doctor. But because private test results reduce the waiting time for other patients, and they can be had immediately, it is likely your doctor will not object too much. Ask him/her first.
If you get your doctor to take samples for testing this will add to your bill. Go direct to the laboratory instead.
